We need everyone's help to make the conference a success, so please consider assisting us in some way.We need the following volunteers:
Pre-conference logistics
We need help with all the little jobs between now and the conference weekend, including administration, site visits, resource coordination, documentation.
We especially need help with coordinating the conference packs before the event and setting up during the day on Friday 13 June.
Marketing / networking
We need people to help us market the conference and encourage members to come along. The most powerful way to do this is face to face and we are seeking people prepared to visit regional groups or make phone calls to help get the word out.
History of the Greens Display
We are seeking people interested in helping to compile a permanent historic record showcasing the Greens and telling our story.
It is envisaged that the finished product with be a series of laminated poster-size displays featuring photos, news-clippings, special documents and other memorabilia.
This could be launched at the conference, with your help and we need the following types of assistance:
- Historical records or knowledge: if you are a long time member and have some materials or memories to contribute, please get involved;
- Graphic design: if you have great layout skills and could help design the finished product, let us know;
- General help: we’d also like to hear from anyone willing to lend a hand with research, compiling and organizing materials
Facilitate / share your skills
Everyone has some sort of expertise or skill and if you’d like to contribute it to the conference, we’d love to hear from you.
Could you present a workshop, lead a session, facilitate a discussion, teach a skill?
If you don’t feel you have the experience to contribute to the general content of the program, maybe you could offer a recreational session?
Also let us know if you have other contacts who might be interested in presenting a session on a voluntary basis.
Entertainment
If you know of any fabulous entertainment options for Friday / Saturday nights, please let us know.
We are especially interested in hearing from musicians who would be prepared to offer their skills.
Decorators / set up team
We need a team of people who are available in the late afternoon on Friday 13 June to help decorate the venue with Green flags and banners and help ready the space for the event. If you are in a position to come early, please let us know.
Help at conference
There will be several key roles at the conference, including various logistical and set-up / clean-up roles and assistant to the MC.
